The guarding on the Felder F900Z vertical spindle moulder in the joinery workshop still left access to the rotating cutting block, contact with this could lead to serious personal injury. IN served - IN/05/MJS/200923/03 You have failed to ensure that effective measures have been taken, to prevent access to dangerous parts of machinery, namely access to in-running nips on the driver rollers of the conveyors adjacent to the Windor 100 tenoner. In-running nips, such as these, can lead to entanglement which could result in serious injury. IN served - IN/05/MJS/200923/04 You have failed to ensure that the exposure of your employees to a substance hazardous to health, namely wood dust, has been prevented or adequately controlled to a level as low as is reasonably practicable. A Makita chop saw in the window department and 2 Makita DXT mitre saws in the joinery workshop were observed without local exhaust ventilation to control the emission of dust at source.
