You have failed to ensure that the exposure of your employees to wood dust, which is a substance hazardous to health, capable of causing cancer and occupational asthma, is prevented, or adequately controlled, because cleaning methods being adopted are not suitable, namely dry sweeping and use of compressed air lines to blow down machinery and are making settled wood dust airborne in the workshop.
You have failed to ensure that where adequate control of exposure to wood dust, cannot be achieved by other means, employees and others have been provided with suitable respiratory protective equipment.
You have failed to ensure that, where it is appropriate for the protection of the health of your employees, who are, or are liable to be exposed to substances hazardous to health, namely wood dust and isocyanates, which are known to cause occupational asthma and dermatitis, that those employees are under suitable health surveillance
You have failed to ensure that your employees’ exposure to substances hazardous to health, namely isocyanates, is monitored in accordance with a suitable procedure
sprays are liable to be exposed to air borne isocyanate mist which is known to cause occupational Asthma. |
