Description Improvement Notice x 3 served, 1) You have failed to make and give effect to such arrangements as are appropriate, having regard to the nature of your activities and the size of your undertaking, for the effective planning, organisation, control, monitoring and review of the preventative and protective measures in relation to guards and other protection devices to prevent access to dangerous parts of machinery. This is because a number of interlocks were defeated on your CNC milling machines. 2) You have failed to ensure that the Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) system in your paint spray booth provided to control exposure to substances hazardous to health, namely solvent based paints has been thoroughly examined and tested within the previous 14 months by a competent person. 3) You have failed to provide face-fit testing for your employees who are required to wear tight fitting respiratory protective equipment to adequately control their exposure to substances hazardous to health, namely solvent based paints.
