| Description | IN served - Failure to ensure that the exposure of your employees to a substance hazardous to health, namely welding fume, has been prevented or adequately controlled. The Local Exhaust Ventilation system in your workshop is not adequate as it does allow for the control of welding fume at source. Welding fume is a known carcinogen and cause of occupational asthma. IN served - Failure to ensure that the fixed Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) system in your workshop, which is used to control employee’s exposure to welding fume, has been thoroughly examined and tested by a person competent to do so. Welding fume is a known carcinogen and cause of occupational asthma. IN served - For both pillar drills in your workshop (including SIP model number F32-12/400V), you have failed to ensure that effective measures have been taken to prevent access to dangerous parts of machinery, namely the rotating chuck, which could lead to entanglement and injury. IN served - Failure to ensure you have provided your employees with access to suitable and sufficient washing facilities which include a supply of clean hot and cold, or warm, water (which shall be running water so far as is practicable), that are in the immediate vicinity of every sanitary convenience. | ||
