Description	Prohibition Notice served, Use of hand held emery abrasive cloth on manual lathes Improvement Notice served, You have failed to take effective measures to prevent access to dangerous parts of the machinery, namely the rotating chuck and workpiece of the Harrison M400 lathe. Improvement Notice served, You have failed to take effective measures to ensure that protection devices provided to stop the movement of the dangerous parts of machinery, namely the trip device on the Archdale radial arm drill, are maintained in an efficient state, in efficient working order and in good repair. Improvement Notice served, You have failed to take effective measures to prevent access to dangerous parts of the machinery, namely the rotating chuck and tool of the XYZ SLV milling machine (serial no. 11645). Improvement Notice served, You have failed to ensure that exposure of your employees to a substance hazardous to health, namely metalworking fluid (a respiratory sensitiser and cause of dermatitis) used on the XYZ Proturn SLX 1630 CNC lathe (machine no. 2; serial No. 18P8805-040), is prevented or, where this is not reasonably practicable, adequately controlled. Improvement Notice served, You have failed to make and give effect to such arrangements as are appropriate, having regard to the nature of your activities, for the effective planning, organisation, control, monitoring and review of the preventative and protective measures required to protect employees from the risk of using water-mix metalworking fluid. Improvement Notice served, You have failed to ensure that workers liable to be exposed to substances hazardous to health, namely metalworking fluid (a respiratory sensitiser and cause of dermatitis) and stainless steel welding fume (a respiratory sensitiser) are under suitable health surveillance.
