I identified that you had numerous welding bays and you informed me that more than one would be operating at the same time. Welding fume is classified as potentially carcinogenic. You do have a mobile LEV system which at the time of my visit was not being used despite numerous welding operations being undertaken. It was identified that each of your welders may only be undertaking sporadic work but in combination the welding fume produced is likely to be significant. Your employees are being exposed to the risk of ill health from welding fume. | ||
