Description I/1/26/02/2020/JM - You had no system in place to manage and monitor the condition of the metalworking fluids (MWFs) that were used in your various machine tools and to ensure that their condition did not deteriorate to such an extent that they might become hazardous to the health of persons working with them who might be exposed to risks to their health by virtue of skin contact or the inhalation of aerosols containing MWFs. I/2/26/02/2020/JM - The No 1 Dugard Eco 1000 machining centre was not fully enclosed and was not provided with local exhaust ventilation arranged so as to prevent the escape into the workshop atmosphere of aerosols containing metalworking fluids (MWFs) that are generated during machining operations and which, if inhaled, can pose a risk to the health of exposed workers.
